                                    Sailing RESUME

 

SAILING Experience:

  SKIPPER: 70' Millennium Houseboat , Antelope Point Marina, Lake Powell, AZ. (five days)              07/2010 

             I beached the houseboat four times and docked for fuel, water and pump-out.

             The docking was done with an 8 knot crosswind.

            I sailed on the "Lady Washington"  from February 18, 2005 thru March 6, 2005.

            We sailed from Ventura, CA to Morro Bay, CA to San Francisco, CA.

CREW: Santana 35—Full TILT, Tyee Marina, Commencement Bay, Puget Sound, WA                       00-04

We race all year round, often one race per week. I manned all positions (foredeck, pit, helm),

but mainly did the foredeck. Full TILT maintained a sail inventory of approximately 8 sails,

including two main sails, four jibs, and two spinnakers. For Photo's see Sailing History "...FT"

CREW: Cal 40—Enchantress,  San Francisco Yacht Club, San Francisco Bay , San Francisco, CA    73-73

I participated in a race from San Francisco Bay to Monterey Bay.

We placed first in our class. I manned the pit.

CREW: Ericson 23—Owned by Bob Sleeth,  San Francisco Marina, San Francisco Bay , SF,  CA     73-73

We did several races on the bay. I manned the pit.

 

SKIPPER: Catalina 26—Rental,  Upper Newport Harbor, Costa Mesa, CA                                              72-72

My brother and I took  friends on a day sail just outside Newport Harbor.

OWNER: Ericson 23—Hull Number 2,  San Francisco Marina,  San Francisco, CA                                 72-74

My brother and I owned the boat. We sailed all year round, often once per week.

Hull Number 2 had only two sails (one jib and one main sail).

ENGINE ROOM SUPERVISOR: USS Plunger (SSN 595), US Navy, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.                  65-69

            Machinist Mate 2nd Class, Submarine and S5W nuclear power plant qualified.

ENGINE ROOM OILER: USS Entemedor (SS 340), US Navy, New London, CT.                                     63-63

Fireman: worked in the after engine room. Operated and maintained (under supervision)

two 278A, 1600hp, General Motors, Diesel engines.
